Guideline for the Promoting Rural Tourism through Creative Tourism Activities in Phawo Subdistrict, Mae Sot District, Tak Province

Abstract

            This research article aims to  1) To study the community context of Phawo Subdistrict,  Mae Sot District,  Tak Province. 2)To analyze rural tou  rism through creative tourism activities in Phawo Subdistrict, Mae Sot Dis trict, Tak Province,  and  3) To propose guidelines for promoting rural tou rism through creative tourism activities in Phawo Subdistrict, Mae Sot Dis trict, Tak Province, by using qualitative research method was based on in-depth inter views  with key infor mants with a semi-structured interview are:  govern ment officials,  commu nity leaders,  tourism operators,  and commu nity mem bers by using the purpo sive sampling  for a content ana lysis.  The results were found a guideline for the pro moting rural tourism through creative tourism activities in Phawo Subdistrict, Mae Sot District, Tak Province consist of 3 important approaches:   1) Tourism activities by desig ning tou rism activi ties that con form  to  the community life style. 2)Learning and Knowledge Sharing the community must find its strengths or identity in order to present stories and experiences through exchanging knowledge bet ween   local  people and tourists,   and  3) Shared experie    nces between tourists and communities  In which tou rists gain valuable experiences through operations activities.  However,  the tourism-related sector has applied the results of the study to planning development poli  cies and as a guideline for promoting tourism by using the community context as a basis in preserving ways of life, culture, traditions through sustainable creative tourism activities.
