21 th century skills and ways of learning skills enhancement of undergraduate students at Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Yala Faculty of Public Health and Allied Health Sciences, Praboromarajchanok Institute

Abstract

                   This mixed method research aimed to study 21^th century skills and ways  of  learning skills  enhancement  of undergraduate students at Sirindhorn  College  of  Public  Health, Yala , Faculty of Public Health and Allied Health Sciences , Praboromarajchanok  Institute . The participants used  for  the collection of the quantitative data were 258 undergraduate students  at  Sirindhorn College  of  Public  Health ,  Yala , using Stratified
Random  Sampling ,                                                                                                    while  7 undergraduate students from different programs and 4 teaching staffs were the participants for the collection of the qualitative data,using purposive  sampling   method   in  accordance  with  the   predetermined criteria. The research instruments for data collection included interview and questionnaire which were developed by the expert team.     The data analyzed using descriptive statistic and content analysis.                                                      The findings revealed that every domain of 21^th century skills were considered "High", which collaboration skill was found                        "The Highest"  (𝑥̅ = 4.19, SD = 0.67) , while creativity skill was found  " The Least " (𝑥̅ = 3.70, SD = 0.52).                                                                                                             In addition ,  ways of  learning  skills  enhancement  of under graduate students consisted of  4 major skills including creativity, critical thinking, computer literacy, and communication and career skills.                                    The  findings  indicated  that  the  4 major skills found were in accordance with quantitative study, and ways of 21^th skills enhancement were learning management concentrating on theory and  creativity  and problemsolving skills should be trained,providing stages or competitions for students according to 21^th century skills,                                                     and  offer  students  the  opportunity  to  practice which  are  considered necessary to be initiated from course,college,faculty and institute degrees respectively.
