Effectiveness of disaster prevention and mitigation network management of Ban Thaen Subdistric Municipality Organization Ban Than District Chaiyaphum

Abstract

      This research purposes to study the effectiveness of disaster prevention and mitigation network management of the Ban Thaen Subdistric Municipality Organization Ban Than District Chaiyaphum from the population from 18 communities living in Ban Thaen Subdistric Municipality Organization total 387 people. Nonprobability sampling and purposive sampling technique were adopted in the sample selection process from the service recipients that use the services of the local government agencies. The research results were found that to co-operate and make the most of available resources for the effectiveness of operations and trust in disaster prevention and mitigation, the level of opinion on measuring the overall effectiveness was relatively high ( = 3.63 , S.D .= 0.29 ). When considered the descending order of importance, which were, the participation of the network members (=3.69,  S.D.= 0.76), having shared benefits or interests ( =3.68, S.D. = 0.73), having shared visions ( =3.74 , S.D.= 0.74) , and mutual perspective perception ( =3.67, S.D. = 0.71), respectively. The approach to developing the effectiveness of disaster prevention and mitigation network management should focus on creating the knowledge and understanding for people in the area and operate the work that focuses on the individual person that well-trained so they can be self-reliant and dependable for others, as well as can be the reinforcement when there is any disaster.
