Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to develop the PAC-VR Model instructional activities, 2) to evaluate the quality and suitability of the model and bilingual manual, 3) to study the effectiveness of the model on students' K-S-A-A competencies, and 4) to examine student satisfaction. The target group consisted of 23 graduate students in Education (13 Thai students and 10 international students), selected through cluster random sampling. This research was approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee (No. RSU-ERB2025/209). Research instruments included the PAC-VR Model, a bilingual instructional manual, K-S-A-A competency assessment forms, and a satisfaction questionnaire. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, t-test dependent, and Relative Gain Score analysis.

The findings revealed that: 1) the PAC-VR Model consists of 5 stages: Preparation (P), Active Knowledge (A), Creative Practice (C), Validation (V), and Reflection (R); 2) the quality of the model and manual was at the highest level (M=4.86, SD=0.23); 3) the post-test competency scores were significantly higher than pre-test scores at the .05 level, with a high overall relative gain of 0.80, and international students exhibited the most prominent development (0.86); and 4) overall student satisfaction was at the highest level (M=4.93, SD=0.17). The newly discovered body of knowledge is the Validation-Based Competency Architecture, which serves as a decisive conceptual feedback mechanism, effectively bridging language barriers and fostering professional self-efficacy in teacher education.
