THE EMPOWERMENT OF ADMINISTRATORS AFFECTING TEACHERS' MORALE IN SCHOOLS UNDER SAMUTPRAKAN PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 2

Abstract

The purposes of this research were as follows: (1) to study the level of empowerment of administrators and the level of morale among teachers in schools; (2) to study the relationship between empowerment of administrators and the level of morale among teachers in schools; and (3) to study the empowerment of administrators affecting the level of morale among teachers in schools. The samples in this research were 310 teachers in educational institutions under Samutprakarn Primary Educational Service Area, Office 2 acquired by stratified random sampling and simple random sampling techniques, respectively. The instrument used in the research was a five-point estimation scale questionnaire with an IOC Conformity Index between 0.80 and 1.00. The data analysis included mean and standard deviation. To test the hypothesis, this study used the Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, and Multiple Regression Analysis-Enter Method. The research results were as follows: (1) the level of empowerment of administrators and the level of the level of morale among teachers in schools were at a high level overall; (2) the empowerment of administrators was related to the morale of teachers in schools at a statistical level of .01, with a correlation coefficient (r) = .779; (3) empowerment that affected the level of morale among teachers in schools; the morale of teachers in schools were statistically significant at .05 by strengthening the empowerment of administrators affecting the level of morale among teachers at 61.00%.
