GUIDELINES ON PERFORMANCE COACHING FOR TEACHERS WHO WORK ON BUDGETING IN SMALL-SIZED SCHOOLS UNDER THE OFFICE OF UDONTHANI PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: 1) to study the current states, the expected states, and the needs, 2) to find the guidelines of coaching, and 3) to evaluate the guidelines of coaching and the performance of teacher budget in small-sized schools of educational institutions under the Udon Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office. The research utilized a Mixed Method Research approach. The sample group consisted of 296 school administrators from small-sized schools, selected through simple random sampling technique. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.98. Data analysis involved frequency distribution, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Additionally, a subgroup of 5 individuals provided in-depth information through semi-structured interviews. Content analysis was employed for the qualitative data, and the findings in terms of appropriateness, feasibility, and benefits were evaluated by five experts. The analysis included percentages, mean values, and standard deviations. The results were as follows: the current states of coaching skill were a moderate level overall, the expected states at the highest level overall, and for the guidelines of the performance of teacher budget in small-sized schools, there were 9 components of coaching skills and 37 approaches. The guideline’s evaluation in terms of suitability, feasibility, and usefulness is at the highest level in all aspects.
