Abstract

Qualification and Occupational Standards Of Navigation Major Fishing boat navigation. in accordance with the assignment and certification of competence or the competence of a person of the current Thai maritime occupation It is under the control and supervision by the Marine Department. In the Regulations of the Marine Department on Examination of Knowledge of Ship Operators, B.E. 2557 (2014) and STCW 2010 convention discuss the responsibilities of working on board, through ability, knowledge, understanding and professional knowledge. Capability testing and Marine Corps evaluation criteria. In addition, according to the standard requirements on board, the management personnel and crews to be ready to go fishing outside the Sea. Without contravening international law related to fishing and navigation.

Thailand Professional Qualification Institute (Public Organization) has cooperated with the Asian Maritime Technological College to establish Professional Qualification and Occupational Standards Of Navigation, Major Fishing boat navigation. consisting of 4 occupations:  Fishing navigator, Fisherman, Kitchen and Radio communications.

The purpose of this study was to determine the competence of all Occupational Standards  in Fishing boat navigation  including 27 Competence as follows: 1) Fishing navigator occupation Level 3  has 10 competencies,Level 4 has 4 competencies Level 5  has 2 competencies. 2) Fisherman occupation Level 2  has 2 competencies, Level 3 has 5 competencies, Level 4 has 6 competencies. 3) Kitchen occupation Level 1 has 2 competencies,Level 2 has 2 competencies, Level 3  has 2 competencies. 4) Radio communications Level 1 has 3  competencies,  Level 2 has 2  competencies.
