The employment status of graduates with a bachelor's degree from the faculty of business administration for society, srinakharinwirot university, academic year 2021

Abstract

          This research aimed to track the employment or self-employment outcomes within one year for graduates from the Faculty of Business Administration for Society, Srinakharinwirot University, from the 2021 academic year. The study was conducted using a survey-based approach. The population and sample included 481 bachelor's degree graduates. A questionnaire was employed as the research instrument. Descriptive statistics used in data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, while inferential statistics involved the Chi-square test (c²).

          The findings revealed that the majority of respondents were female, accounting for 73.39%. Most respondents graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Marketing (19.75%). Regarding employment or self-employment within one year, the majority of graduates were employed (66.99%), 32.85% were pursuing further studies, and 4.16% were unemployed. Among those employed, most were working in private companies or businesses (88.78%), with an average monthly income between 15,001–25,000 baht (61.39%). The jobs held by the graduates were related to their field of study (73.27%). Graduates expressed a high level of job satisfaction (𝑥̄=3.46) and reported a high level of application of knowledge from their academic major to their work (𝑥̄=3.49).

          The hypothesis testing indicated a statistically significant relationship at the 0.05 level between the field of study/major and employment or self-employment within one year.
