Development of local potential in processing product and adding value of Song Nam Banana, Bang Pho Sub-District, Mueang District, Surat Thani Province

Abstract

This article aims to develop local potential in processing, production and value addition of Song Nam bananas, Bang Pho Sub-district, Mueang District, Surat Thani Province. Due to most of the villagers in Bang Pho sub-district have a career in coconut plantation, oil palm plantation, Raising White Shrimp Vana Mike, Indigenous fisheries, coastal fisheries and general contractors. Bang Pho Subdistrict has abundant natural resources. For example, Banana Song Nam, but due to the Covid-19 epidemic situation, it can't export produce So the price of production is therefore low. Therefore, social engineers recognize look at the importance of privatization and add value to the villagers in the community. The idea of social engineers recognize was to develop Song Nam bananas that existed in the community through a workshop which the added value that social engineers have in mind is to add value to the product by having a logo in the product and promoting this product to be an export of the community in the future.
