Development of Teaching Manual for Facing Between Center with Reverse Teaching Method

Abstract
The purposes of this research study are as follows: 1) To create the teaching manual based on backward design for the use of lathe in facing operation. 2) To experiment offering lessons by following the teaching manual based on backward design for the use of lathe in facing operation. During the process of developing this teaching manual, it was evaluated by three experts who specialize in teaching this topic. The evaluation result of this teaching manual is in a good level. Then, this teaching manual was applied to the A group which is a controlled group consisting of 24 students and the C group which is an experimented group consisting of 40 students. So, the total number of students in the sample groups is 40.
The research outcome indicates that the teaching manual based on backward design for the use of lathe in facing operation improves the student’s achievement for 25%. Also, the level of satisfaction in the use of this teaching manual is in the very satisfied level.
