A Development of The Quality Evaluational System at A Curiculum Level A Certificate of Vocational Education According The Vocational Qualification Framework

Abstract

This research aims to 1) study the quality standards for development evaluation, 2) develop a curriculum quality evaluation system, and 3) evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum quality evaluation system in vocational education, under to the standard vocational education framework. The sample was 379 deputy directors of academic affairs, supervisors of curriculum and instruction of the vocational education commission office. The target group was five participants from five different institutions. A study of the operation of a curriculum quality evaluation system revealed the first four needs; 1) instructors , 2) quality of graduates , 3) resources and management , and 4) curriculum and student assessment. As a research result, the quality of the curriculum was analyzed by factors using Eigenvalues (>1.5.) which is divided into 4 aspects; 1) educational management, 2) curriculum and student’s assessment, 3) instructors, and 4) supporting. The development of a curriculum quality evaluation revealed four steps in the operation; 1) planning and reviewing, 2) meetings, 3) summarizing and reporting on the results of assessment. Results of the trial and the effectiveness of quality evaluation of the evaluation system. The overview of effectiveness in the curriculum quality evaluation system in vocational education showed the mean and standard deviation of the satisfaction with the trial system in 4 outcomes; 1. planning, review meeting and system activity is at a high level and the mechanism of the system is at the highest level. 2. activities and mechanisms are at a high level, 3. summarizing and evaluating the activities and mechanisms of the system are at a high level and 4. Developing the evaluation process in the system is at a high level, the mechanism is at the highest level, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of the curriculum quality evaluation system is at a high level.
