Development of Inventory Management Process for Medical Devices of Medical Device Impost Business

Abstract
The development of inventory management process for medical devices of medical device impost business is research and development. The purposes were to 1) study the problem of inventory process of medical devices impost business, 2) investigate the problem of inventory management process of medical device impost business, 3) improve inventory management process for medical devices of medical device impost business, and 4) evaluate the suitability of the inventory management process for medical device of medical device impost business. The research method was derived into 3 phases: phase1: study of operational problems and inventory management problems for medical device impost business, phase 2: development of medical inventory management process for medical device impost business, and phase 3: evaluated the process of developed process. phase 4: Phase4:The assessment result of working lead time after implement the process of inventory management for medical device, that whole process lead time is lessen .Research sampling are Warehouse & Logistic officers of IDSMED (Thailand), 113 person in total and warehouse & Logistic managers, 10 person by specify the ones who have at least 3 years working experiences Research tools were the questionnaire of operation process and inventory management for imposing management process for imposing medical devices by using statistic s to analyst the data such us percentage, Average and standard deviation.
The research found that The medical device management process for importing medical equipment includes Medical device management process for importing medical equipment is derived into 5 steps: 1) sales order picking list, 2) picking completed, 3) engineered investigate machine, 4) details delivery and 5) confirm delivery. Internal control process of medical device management is deriver into 5 sections : 1) internal control the operation, 2) internal control the inventory, 3) internal control the engine, 4) internal control the sales and 5) internal control the logistic. The results of the assessment of the suitability of the development process of medical device inventory management for importing medical equipment by 5 experts found that inventory management process of medical device for importing medical equipment business is improved suitable for real – life use, at the high level the inventory management process of medical device at the highest level The assessment result of working lead time after implement the process of inventory management for medical device, that whole process lead time is lessen 17 days in total and when consider in each process, found that the process of picking and engineer investigating gets the best result by lessen 4 days lead time. The assessment result of working lead time after implement the process of medical inventory control, by whole process, found that lead time is lessen 21 days in total and when consider in each process, found that the process of Internal Control Operation can maximum lessen 7 days lead time, whereas Internal Control Inventory and Internal Control Engineer can lessen 4 days lead time.
