JIBS Editors Attend the 5th "System Development and Quality Improvement for Thai Journals in the Scopus Database" Meeting

On Tuesday, September 2, 2015, the Thai Journal Citation Index Center (TCI) hosted the 5th "System Development and Quality Improvement for Thai Journals in the Scopus Database" meeting at Convention Room B, Ambassador Hotel, Bangkok. Over 125 journal editors and working groups from the TCI-TSRI-Scopus Project participated.

At this meeting, TCI highlighted progress in increasing the quality of Thai journals, advancing them in the Scopus Quartile rankings, and generating academic impact to boost international recognition. The event also showcased data on monitoring and evaluating the performance of the project journals. The focus was on improving article quality and journal management standards to meet Scopus criteria.

During a brainstorming session on "Course for the Development of Thai Journal Editors, participants had the chance to suggest ideas about course content, publication ethics, managing international journal systems, and suitable learning formats for new editors and journal teams.

The meeting wrapped up with an exchange of ideas. Questions and suggestions were shared regarding the development of Thai journals before Prof. Dr. Narongrit summarized the discussions and officially closed the meeting.
