Publication Ethics in Journals

Roles and Responsibilities of Authors
1. Authors must not submit articles that have never been published elsewhere, and must not submit duplicate manuscripts to other journals.
2. Authors must adhere to research ethics and must not violate or plagiarize the work of others for their own benefit.
3. Authors must prepare manuscripts in accordance with the “Instructions for Authors.”
4. Authors listed in the article must have contributed to the preparation of the article or participated in the research process.
5. Authors must cite all works, images, or tables used in their articles by clearly stating the “source” to prevent copyright infringement (if any legal claims arise, the author alone shall be responsible; the journal bears no responsibility whatsoever).
6. Authors must verify the accuracy of references and should cite only necessary and appropriate sources, avoiding excessive citations.
7. Authors must revise their articles according to the recommendations of reviewers and the editorial board within the specified timeframe.
8. Authors must disclose the funding sources supporting the research (if any) and declare any conflicts of interest (if any).
9. Authors must not report false or misleading data in their articles, including fabrication, falsification, distortion, manipulation, or selective presentation of data that only supports the conclusions.
10. Authors should not cite retracted documents unless the supported statement relates to the retraction process, and the reference list must clearly indicate that the cited document has been retracted.

Roles and Responsibilities of Editors

1. Editors are responsible for evaluating the quality of articles for publication in the journal under their supervision. They must select articles for publication only after the peer-review process, considering primarily the clarity of the content and its consistency with the journal’s policies. Articles should contain knowledge reflecting perspectives, theoretical concepts derived from experience, literature synthesis, or research, focusing on presenting new theoretical concepts and conceptual models that enhance understanding and lead to further research on important academic topics.
2. Editors must not disclose information about authors or reviewers to unrelated individuals during the review process.
3. Editors must not publish articles that have already been published elsewhere. They must rigorously check for plagiarism using reliable software to ensure that published articles do not copy others’ work. If plagiarism is detected, the review process must be halted immediately, and the corresponding author must be contacted for clarification before deciding to “accept” or “reject” the article.
4. Editors must not have conflicts of interest with authors or reviewers.
5. Editors must not use any part or all of an article for their own benefit or publication.
6. Editors are responsible for considering research articles with sound research methodologies and reliable results, using the research outcomes as a basis for deciding whether publication is appropriate.
7. If editors discover that an article improperly plagiarizes another work or contains fabricated data warranting retraction, but the author refuses to withdraw the article, editors may retract the article without the author’s consent, as this is within the editors’ rights and responsibilities regarding the article.

Roles and Responsibilities of Reviewers

1. Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and must not disclose information about submitted articles to unrelated persons during the review period.
2. After receiving an article from the journal editor, if reviewers recognize that they may have a conflict of interest with the author that could prevent them from providing independent comments and recommendations, they should inform the editor and decline the review.
3. Reviewers should evaluate articles only within their area of expertise by considering the importance of the article’s content to the field, the quality of analysis, and the rigor of the work. Reviewers should also identify important research relevant to the article being reviewed that the author has failed to cite. Reviewers should not use unsupported personal opinions as criteria for judging the article.
4. Reviewers must not use any part or all of an article for their own benefit or publication.
5. If reviewers find that any part of the article is similar or duplicated from another work, they must notify the editor.

The journal charges a publication fee of 3,000 THB (three thousand baht) per article, payable upon acceptance for publication. Authors must ensure that the article complies fully with the “Instructions for Authors.” Failure to comply with the regulations may result in rejection by the editorial board in the following cases:
1. The article has a similarity index exceeding 20%.
2. The author does not follow the journal format.
3. The article does not pass peer review.
4. The author fails to revise the article according to recommendations within the specified period (1 month after notification by the editor).

Authors may pay the publication fee via Krung Thai Bank, Account Number 304-0-09370-3, Account Name “Mahabodhi Theri College.” After payment, proof of payment must be uploaded to the journal system together with the article and also sent to mahapracha.mbu@gmail.com to notify the journal of the submission details.
