Abstract

The objective of this research was1) to study the 8 basic moral principles in student development Mettasuksa School under the
Royal Patronage Mueang Chiang Mai District 2) to study the practice of the 8 basic moral principles of students 3) to propose
development guidelines according to the 8 basic moral principles to tudents. The sample group used in this research was Mettasuksa School students. 200 people under the Royal Patronage of Muang District, Chiang Mai Province, the research tools used for data collection were questionnaires. the statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation. Presenting the analysis results of the data in the form of a lecture table. The results showed that: 1. Practice the 8 basic morals principlesof Mettasuksa School Students under royal patronage Mueang Chiang Mai District Overall, it was at a high level (= 3.88, S.D. = 0.389). It showed that administrators, teachers and students saw the importance of conducting oneself with morality. especially the virtues that correspond to the 8 basic moral principles. 2. when considered individually, it was found that were at a high level in all aspects when sorted by average, ie, harmony discipline cleanliness politeness kindness integrity, diligence and frugal, respectively. 3. guidelines for developing the students according to the 8 basic virtues that the school should instill on sharing or helping others. when they saw others suffer whether it is assisted by donation or physical assistance, schools should cultivate a love of reading and promote the practice both before and after or after school, and
schools should be conducted. to encourage students to use their words polite and correct according to the time and give a
comparison example to know which speech should and should not be used.
