Current Trends in Public Administration in Thailand

Abstract

This academic article aims to analyze key trends and challenges facing Thai public administration today, focusing on policy management transformation, digital transformation, and enhancing public governance. The analysis reveals that Thai public administration is undergoing rapid change influenced by a variety of factors, including the technological revolution, socioeconomic transformation, and rising public expectations for transparency and good governance. Key trends include the development of sustainable policies, the adoption of digital technologies in public services, decentralization of power to local levels, and the creation of resilience to crises. However, public administration continues to face significant challenges, including limitations in decentralization, inequality in digital access, and corruption. Future development therefore requires a focus on improving the bureaucracy to ensure transparency, efficiency, and appropriate responsiveness to public needs and the changing global landscape.
