Management According to the Principles of Good Governance of the Pa Daet Subdistrict Municipality Mueng Chiang Mai District Chiang Mai Province

Abstract

 This study aims to assess the administrative conditions in Pa Daet Subdistrict Municipality, based on the principles of good governance. It also seeks to compare the administration in Pa Daet Subdistrict Municipality, again based on the principles of good governance. Lastly, the study intends to offer recommendations for management practices that align with the principles of good governance. A combined method research approach was utilized, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative research methods. The quantitative research involved a sample group of 391 individuals residing in the Pa Daet Subdistrict Municipality area. Data collection was done through a questionnaire, and statistical analysis techniques were used to analyze the collected data. The qualitative research component involved conducting in-depth interviews with a group of 10 key informants. The data obtained from these interviews were analyzed using content analysis techniques. Overall, this research provides valuable insights and recommendations for enhancing management practices following the principles of good governance in Pa Daet Subdistrict Municipality.The study's findings revealed several key points. Firstly, the administrative conditions of Pa Daet Subdistrict Municipality in Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai Province were evaluated based on the principles of good governance, specifically the Dutiyapapani Sutta Principles. Overall, the municipality scored the highest level in terms of administrative conditions and adherence to good governance principles. Secondly, a comparison was made between the administration of Pa Daet Subdistrict Municipality and other factors related to personal characteristics. The results showed significant differences in overall performance, confirming the acceptance of the hypothesis at a 0.05 level of statistical significance. Lastly, recommendations were made for government and public networks to enhance their participation guidelines. It was suggested that municipal administration should prioritize clarity in following government rules and regulations, while also providing opportunities for the public to stay informed about these regulations. Additionally, it was emphasized that effective community and municipal personnel require adherence to moral principles, leadership qualities, and setting a positive example in society.
