Development of Mathematics Learning that Encourage Communication Skills and Information Technology Skills Using 5 Steps Learning Process (QSCCS)

Abstract

This research aimed: 1) to study results of mathematics learning management that promotes communication skills and information technology skills using 5 steps learning process (QSCCS) and 2) to study behavior of the students using 5 steps learning process
(QSCCS) activities. The sample in the research were 25 students of mathematics, facultyof education, Phetchabun Rajabhat University, obtained using cluster sampling method.The tools used in the research were 1) a plan for mathematic learning activities by 5 stepslearning process (QSCCS) to promotes communication skills and information technologyskills, 2) a test to evaluate learning achievement by 5 steps learning process (QSCCS) and3) a assessment of behavior form by 5 steps learning process (QSCCS) activities. The datawas analyzed by mean, standard deviation and t-test (dependent samples).
The results of the study were as follows:
1. After learning through the mathematics learning management that promotescommunication skills and information technology skills using 5 steps learning process(QSCCS), the students’ learning achievement was significantly higher than that of before
at 0.01 statistical level.
2. The mean score of behavior of the students using five steps learning process(QSCCS) activities was good level at 3.52. Considering all the aspects: the mean score oflearn to communicate (C) was good level at 3.70; the mean score of learn to search (S)
was good level at 3.63; the mean score of learn to construct (C) was good level at 3.57;the mean score of learn to question (Q) was moderate level at 3.48 and the mean score oflearn to serve (S) was moderate level at 3.20.
