About the Journal
Aims & scope:
The academic journal Service, Leisure, Sports, Tourism & Education (SLSTE), published by PANacademy, aims to explore social phenomena through the lens of social sciences, utilizing research methods of the highest academic standards to explain existing theories or generate new ones. SLSTE welcomes Systematic Literature Reviews (SLRs) as well as Research Summaries (RS) of previously published articles from other journals. Additionally, SLSTE also considers business-oriented research that may not necessarily be tied to theoretical concepts. However, researchers are expected to provide a connection to accepted academic theories or provide new variables or theories that can spark future research. Overall, SLSTE aims to be a platform for high-quality research that contributes to the advancement of knowledge in service, leisure, sports, tourism, and education fields, utilizing rigorous and innovative research methodologies.
Peer Review Policy:
Service, Leisure, Sports, Tourism & Education (SLSTE) is committed to ensuring the highest quality of research articles, and thus we pay close attention to every detail, including the rigorous review and evaluation process. We use a double-blind peer review system, which means that both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process.
We require a minimum of two qualified reviewers to assess the academic quality and accuracy of each submission. However, in cases where the author requests additional reviewers, we are open to the possibility of using more than two reviewers. We will carefully consider the expertise and qualifications of each reviewer before selecting them to ensure a fair and thorough evaluation.
In the future, we plan to assess the qualifications of our reviewers and report the results to ensure the highest level of confidence in their expertise. We believe that our rigorous and impartial peer review process will help maintain the high standards and reputation of SLSTE as a leading academic journal in the field of social sciences.
We encourage all authors to carefully review and follow the submission guidelines to ensure that their research meets the highest academic standards. We also welcome feedback from authors and reviewers to help us continually improve our peer review process and the overall quality of our journal.
Publication Schedule:
The SLSTE academic journal aims to produce high-quality research articles that are accepted and recognized within the international academic community. The editorial board and qualified reviewers are committed to maintaining a rigorous peer-review process to ensure that articles meet the standards of the world's leading academic journals. Therefore, the SLSTE publication schedule policy is designed to ensure that published articles have a significant academic impact and are cited by other researchers.
In the first three years (2023-2025) of publication, the SLSTE plans to produce a minimum of 12 articles annually, with each article expected to have an average academic impact of 1 citation per article per 12 months after publication. To achieve this goal, the SLSTE plans to publish four issues per year, with each issue containing a minimum of three articles that have significant academic impact at the international level.
To maintain the quality of the published articles, the SLSTE will follow a strict peer-review process, ensuring that each article is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers before acceptance. The journal will also encourage authors to follow the highest ethical standards in research and publishing and adhere to strict guidelines for formatting and citation.

To achieve this, we adhere to the guidelines set forth by The Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), a well-respected organization in the field of publication ethics (https://publicationethics.org/).
Regarding authorship and plagiarism, we follow COPE's guidelines, requiring all authors to have made significant contributions to the research presented in the manuscript and be listed as authors. We do not tolerate any form of plagiarism or self-plagiarism, and we use plagiarism detection software to screen all submissions.
We also require authors, peer reviewers, and editors to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence their work or evaluation of the manuscript.
Our peer review process is double-blind, ensuring the confidentiality of both the authors and reviewers. We take pride in our rigorous and unbiased peer review process, and all submissions are evaluated based on scientific merit, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope.
Our editors are responsible for making fair and unbiased decisions on all manuscripts, seeking advice from reviewers and the editorial board. We expect all authors to provide accurate and complete data, and if any concerns arise, we may request further clarification or investigation.
We take allegations of research misconduct seriously and will investigate any such claims in accordance with COPE guidelines. Overall, we encourage our authors, reviewers, and editors to follow these ethical guidelines and promote transparency and accountability in scientific research.
