Abstract

This article aims to study the role of digital technology in the public administration process in Thailand, focusing on the development and application of digital technology in government agencies to enhance the efficiency of public services and state resource management. Currently, Thailand uses digital technology as a key tool in modernizing the public sector and meeting the needs of the people effectively. Technologies such as Information Systems and Big Data are utilized to collect and analyze large-scale data relevant to decision-making in government management. These technologies enable faster and more accurate data processing, allowing the government to address various issues more effectively. Furthermore, digital technology plays a role in creating online systems that make public services more convenient, faster, and accessible to citizens anytime and anywhere. The government has developed various platforms to facilitate access to public services, reduce paperwork, and enable transactions to be conducted online, which benefits both convenience, speed, and cost reduction in service delivery. However, the use of digital technology in public administration still has some limitations, such as issues related to the instability of technological infrastructure, the lack of digital skills training for public sector personnel, and challenges in data security. These areas require continuous development and improvement to ensure that digital technology in the public sector is used to its maximum potential.
