Abstract
This article aims to analyze the implementation of circular economy principles in Thailand’s industrial sector to promote sustainable development. It focuses on studying relevant concepts, theories, and the current status of the industry’s sustainability challenges and circular economy practices.The study finds that the Thai industrial sector faces challenges such as inefficient resource use, high emissions, and a lack of suitable technology and innovation for transitioning to a circular economy . Applying circular economy principles can improve resource efficiency, reduce production costs, and foster environmentally friendly product innovation, benefiting both the economy and the environment.However, significant obstacles remain, including policy uncertainty, inadequate infrastructure and technology, and organizational cultural resistance, which delay the transition to a circular economy in the industrial sector .The article proposes policy reforms, promotion of clean technology research and development, capacity building, and enhanced collaboration between government, industry, and civil society to effectively and sustainably drive the transition to a circular economy in Thailand.
