The study adopts a descriptive analysis method based on existing literature, official reports, research publications, and online media sources.

The findings indicate that border disputes create uncertainty and disruptions in trade and investment, affecting small-scale entrepreneurs’ income, inventory management, and market access. Social and cultural factors, including community networks, cultural relationships, and knowledge of customs regulations, significantly influence the success and sustainability of border businesses. The study highlights that entrepreneurial adaptation strategies—such as stockpiling, diversifying markets, employing digital technologies, and building cooperative networks with communities and government agencies—can mitigate the negative impacts of disputes and generate business opportunities, even amid political tensions. Key recommendations include promoting sustainable business practices, government and community support, and the use of technology and information to enhance SMEs’ resilience and local economic security. This article emphasizes the integration of economic, cultural, and cross-border cooperative approaches to strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of Thai–Cambodian border businesses.
