This study aimed to (1) examine structural factors influencing beef cattle farm management, (2) analyze farm management practices and readiness for GAP standards, and (3) investigate the relationships among structural factors, farm management, and GAP readiness. A mixed-methods design was employed. Quantitative data were collected from 390 farmers using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire, while qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews with 15 key informants. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics, multiple regression, and content analysis.

Results showed that structural factors were at a moderate-to-low level, with farm data management scoring the lowest. Farm management was moderate overall but weak in marketing, environmental management, and animal welfare. Regression analysis revealed that data management and overall management had the strongest influence on GAP readiness, explaining 62% of the variance. The study contributes new knowledge by emphasizing the integration of structural and managerial factors, particularly the role of farm data as knowledge capital. Policy and practical recommendations include developing farm databases, providing low-interest credit, establishing GAP model farms, and promoting farmer cooperatives to enhance sustainable competitiveness.
