Innovation in Educational Supervision via Web Application for School Administrators and Heads of Vocational Education Departments Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

Abstract

This research aimed to: (1) to analyze the opinions of experts on the development of educational supervision innovation through web applications; (2) to analyze, design, and develop educational supervision innovation through web applications; and (3) to evaluate the effectiveness of the educational supervision system through web applications. This research was developmental. The sample group consisted of 72 school administrators and heads of departments in vocational education within the Vocational Education Prachuap Khiri Khan province, selected by purposive sampling. The research instruments used were: (a) interview form; (b) educational supervision system; and (c) educational supervision system evaluation form through web applications. Data analysis was performed using the mean and standard deviation. The results of the research found that: (1) The results of the study of the opinions of experts in both areas found that the scope of educational supervision work should include: (a) preparation for teaching, (b) organizing learning activities, (c) media and innovation, (d) teaching equipment, (e) assessment, and (f) general conditions. The development of web application systems should survey the availability of hardware, study the operating procedures of relevant officials, and implement the analysis and development according to the theory of the system development cycle. The choice of database should take into account security, cost-effectiveness, and the preparation of reports that are in line with the needs of users.(2) The results of the analysis, design, and development of the educational supervision system through web applications have the following features: security, data recording, data correction, report generation, and 3 user modules: school administrators, heads of department, teachers, and officials. (3) The results of the evaluation of the effectiveness of the educational supervision system through web applications by experts found that it was very effective, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of the system by officials found that it was effective.
