Development of Analytical Thinking skills Training packages on Important Civilizations of the Western World for Mathayomsuksa 5 Students at Takhliprachasan School, Takhli District, Nakhon Sawan Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research article were 1) to study the effectiveness of the analytical thinking skills training packages according to the 80/80 criteria; 2) to compare learning achievement before and after learning; and 3) to study student satisfaction towards learning with analytical thinking skills training packages on Important Civilizations of the Western World for Mathayomsuksa 5 students at Takhliprachasan School. The sample group used in this research was Mathayomsuksa 5/4 students, semester 1, academic year 2022, Takhliprachasan School, totaling 40 people. It was an experimental research. The tools used in this research included: 6 analytical thinking skills training packages, pre-study and post-study achievement tests, and a questionnaire on student satisfaction towards learning with skill training packages. For analysis, the researcher analyzed the statistical data by finding out the effectiveness of the analytical thinking skills training packages using the formula to calculate E1/E2, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results of determining the quality of the research tools were the efficiency of the skills training packages, analytical thinking (E1/E2), equal to 84.38/83.21. The learning achievement test had a difficulty value between 0.33-0.78, a discriminatory power value between 0.34-0.76 and a reliability value of 0.89 and a student satisfaction questionnaire affecting the analytical thinking skills training packages was 0.79. The results of the research found that 1) the results of the development of analytical thinking training skills package on Important Civilizations of the Western World for Mathayomsuksa 5 students found that there was an overall efficiency (E1/E2), equal to 84.38/83.21; 2) the results of comparing the learning achievement with the analytical thinking skills training package on Important Civilizations of the Western World for Mathayomsukda 5 students found that the learning achievement of the students after studying was higher than before studying at a statistical significance at the level of .05; and 3). the results of study of satisfaction in using the analytical thinking skills training package on Important Civilizations of the Western World for Mathayom 5 students at Takhliprachasan School found that the overall satisfaction of the students was at a high level.
