Promoting Political Socialization for the People of Rong Kwang Provincial Police Station, Phrae Province

Abstract
The purposes of this research article 1) to study the promotion level of political socialization for the people of Rong Kwang Provincial Police Station, Phrae Province; 2) to study the relationship between Saraniyadhamma 6 and the promotion of political socialization for the people of Rong Kwang Provincial Police Station, Phrae Province; and 3) to study problems, obstacles, and suggestions after promoting political socialization for the people of Rong Kwang Provincial Police Station, Phrae Province. It was a mixed methods research. For quantitative research, survey research was conducted. The sample used in the research was the population living in the municipality, Rong Kwang Subdistrict, Rong Kwang District and in the area under supervision of Rong Kwang Provincial Police Station, Phrae Province, who were 18 years of age and up, numbering 4,588 people, using the sampling method from Taro Yamane's formula, resulting in a sample of 368 people. In terms of qualitative research, in-depth interviews with 9 informants. The results of the research found that 1) the level of promotion of political socialization for the people of Rong Kwang Provincial Police Station, Phrae province was Saraniyadhamma 6, overall it was at a high level ( = 4.52, S.D.=0.6); 2) the relationship between Saraniyadhamma 6 and the promotion of political socialization for the people of Rong Kwang Provincial Police Station, Phrae Province, overall had a positive relationship at a moderate level (r=.598**); and 3) problems and obstacles in promoting political socialization for the people of Rong Kwang Provincial Police Station, Phrae Province found that the police work system was not much flexible. They still adhered too much to orders and regulations. Some citizens still did not understand their own roles in politics. People had different political opinions causing the promotion of political socialization to be adjusted to each area. Some police officers still lacked a process to promote the idea of properly considering political activities. And some people still lacked cooperation in organizing various activities organized by the government.
