Buddhadhamma Application of for Promoting the People’s Reconciliation in the Mu Si Subdistrict Municipality Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research article were 1) to study the promotion of reconciliation of  people in Mu Si Sub-district Municipality, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province; 2) to compare opinions towards the promotion of reconciliation of people in Mu Si Sub-district Municipality, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province; and 3) to apply Buddhadhamma in promoting reconciliation of people in Mu Si Subdistrict Municipality. This was a mixed methods research by distributing a questionnaire with a reliability of 0.91 to a group of 380 randomly selected stratified samples. The statistics used in the research were frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, T-test, and One-way ANOVA. For qualitative research, interviews with 9 key informants were conducted by descriptive content analysis. The results of the research were as follows: 1) in terms of the promotion of reconciliation of people in Mu Si Subdistrict Municipality, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, the overall opinion level was the highest ( = 3.92). The aspect with the highest average value was the principle of empathy for us (= 3.99), followed by building confidence and trust (= 3.97) and the aspect with the lowest mean was the aspect of stopping violence to stop fear (= 3.80); 2) People with different sex, age, education level, occupation, monthly income had different opinions towards the promotion of reconciliation and reconciliation of people in Mu Si Subdistrict Municipality. There was no difference with statistical significance at the 0.05 level; and 3) the application of Buddhadhamma in promoting people's reconciliation, having good wishes to others both in front of and behind their backs, helping and promoting each other in terms of physical strength, being humble, having respect, not harassing each other, having willingness to sacrifice for others, along with being polite, consistent, respectful, being sincere to others, always knowing how to give opportunities and forgive each other, having good intentions towards others that was the basis for promoting reconciliation.
