Abstract

This academic article aimed to study the Buddhist virtue in human capital and Thailand development. The results of the study revealed that the country was a collective residence of the population on a fixed territory with sovereignty. Therefore, the population played an important role in the country's development in all dimensions. The country development in the dimension of economy has resulted in growth and wealth. To do so, the population of a country must be a human capital with a combination of social capital, emotional capital, and intellectual capital that had high potential to carry out his responsibilities with quality, competence, and efficiency in order to achieve his goals. Governments should have policies and measures to develop human capital sources through standardization of education, training, skills and public health including cultivating the capital of the Buddhist virtues, namely Tisikkha, Atthangika-magga, and Samatha Kammatthana, into human capital both at the household level and educational institutions, workplaces in both public and private sectors. This will create value in human capital for the development of the country continuously.
