Executives as leaders faced intense pressure to achieve results from performance indicators, quantitative outcomes, and expectations from stakeholders at multiple levels. While innovation was a crucial mechanism for driving organizational adaptation and competitiveness in a rapidly changing context, without a solid ethical framework in management, operations may result in decisions that neglected the impact on society, the environment, and the moral principles that formed the foundation of legitimate management. Policy recommendations included a clear ethics oversight system should be established; performance indicators should be developed that did not neglect the ethical dimension; the ethical capabilities of senior executives should be strengthened with the goal of enabling innovative leadership to drive organizations towards sustainability, transparency, and genuine public trust.
