Public Participatory Political Culture: A Case Study of Tak Bat Devo Festival at Wat Sangkat Rattana Khiri, Mueang District, Uthai Thani Province

Abstract
The purposes of this research article were 1) to study the level of public participatory political culture in Tak Bat Devo Festival at Wat Sangkhat Rattana Khiri; 2) to analyze the relationship between Aparihaniyadhamma and public participatory political culture in Tak Bat Devo Festival at Wat Sangkhat ratana Khiri; and 3) to propose guidelines for developing public participatory political culture in Tak Bat Devo Festival at Wat Sangkhat Rattana Khiri. This was a mixed-methods research. Quantitative research involved distributing questionnaires with a reliability coefficient of 0.937 to a sample of 400 people. Statistical methods used included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson correlation coefficient. Qualitative research involved in-depth interviews with 23 key informants selected using purposive sampling, employing descriptive content analysis. The research findings revealed that 1) the level of public participatory political culture in Tak Bat Devo Festival at Wat Sangkhat Rattana Khiri according to Aparihaniyadhamma was high overall (= 3.61, S.D. = 0.32), while opinions on the level of public participatory political culture in Tak Bat Devo Festival according to the principle of participation were also high (
= 3.68, S.D. = 0.39); 2) the relationship between Aparihaniyadhamma and the public participatory political culture in Tak Bat Devo Festival showed a high positive correlation (r = 0.62); and 3) guidelines for developing public participatory political culture in Tak Bat Devo Festival at Wat Sangkhat Ratana Khiri were found to be (1) in terms of decision-making, opportunities should be given to the people and all sectors to express opinions and make decisions in organizing the event; (2) in terms of implementation, public participation in planning and implementing the event should be promoted systematically; (3) in terms of receiving benefits, benefits from the event should be distributed thoroughly and fairly; and (4) in terms of evaluation. opportunities should be given for the public to participate in monitoring, evaluating, and proposing ways to improve the event
