Development of Learning Package on the History of Buddha Using the Jigsaw Technique of Prathomsuksa 3 Students at Chumchon Banhuaphluang (Ratprommanee) School, Tha Tako District, Nakhon Sawan Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research article were 1) to find the efficiency of developing a learning package on the history of Buddha using the jigsaw technique of Prathomsuksa 3 students at Chomchon Banhuaphluang (Ratprommanee) School; 2) to compare the learning achievement before and after learning from using a learning package with the jigsaw technique on Buddha's history of of Prathomsuksa 3 students at Chomchon Banhuaphluang (Ratprommanee) School; and 3) to study the satisfaction of students towards the learning package using the jigsaw technique on Buddha's history of Prathomsuksa 3 students at Chomchon Banhuaphluang (Ratprommanee) School. The population used in this research was 22 Prathomsuksa 3 students, semester 1, academic Year 2022, of Chumchon Banhuaphluang (Ratprommanee) School). This was a quantitative research. The tools used in this research were 5 learning packages using the jigsaw technique, 5 sets. A pre-study and post-study achievement test, 30 questions, and a student satisfaction questionnaire towards the learning packages on the history of Buddha using the jigsaw technique. It was a rating scale with 10 items. Data analysis included percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The research results found that 1) the results of developing  learning packages on the history of Buddha using the jigsaw technique of Prathomsuksa 3 students found that it had an overall efficiency (E1/E2), equal to 83.45/82.27; 2) the results of comparing learning achievement towards the learning package on the history of Buddha using the jigsaw technique of Prathomsuksa 3 students found that students had higher learning performance after studying than before studying; and 3) the results of the study of student satisfaction towards the development of learning packages on the history of Buddha using the jigsaw technique of Prathomsuksa 3 students found that overall student satisfaction was at the highest level. The overall average for all aspects was 4.80.
