Community Development Effectiveness of Phrae Provincial Administrative Organization

Abstract

The purposes of this research article were 1) to study the level of community development effectiveness of Phrae Provincial Administrative Organization; 2) to study the relationship between Iddhipada 4 and the community development effectiveness of Phrae Provincial Administrative Organization; and 3) to study the problems, obstacles, and suggestions regarding the community development effectiveness of Phrae Provincial Administrative Organization. This research was a mixed-methods research. For quantitative research, a questionnaire with a reliability of .891 was distributed to a sample group, which was people living in Mueang Phrae District, Phrae Province, in 3 subdistricts: Mae Lai Subdistrict, Rong Fong Subdistrict, and Nam Cham Subdistrict, totaling 400 people. The statistics used in the research were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson's Correlation Coefficient. Qualitative research used in-depth interviews with 9 key informants using content analysis techniques with context. The research results found that 1) the level of community development effectiveness of Phrae Provincial Administrative Organization found that Iddhipada 4 was overall at a high level (= 3.71). As for the level of community development effectiveness of Phrae Provincial Administrative Organization in the 5 aspects of political science, the average value of all aspects was overall at a high level (= 3.87); 2) the relationship between Iddhipada 4 and the community development effectiveness of Phrae Provincial Administrative Organization was positively related at a fairly high level (r=.782**); 3) the problems, obstacles, and suggestions for community development effectiveness of Phrae Provincial Administrative Organization found that there were too few personnel to listen to the real problems and obstacles of the community. There were too few channels for the public to express their opinions, which affected the development to increase the community development effectiveness of Phrae Provincial Administrative Organization, both internal and external factors of the organization to know the operation to increase the efficiency of the provincial administrative organization better. Local government personnel should integrate general theoretical principles with Buddhist principles in their operations and lead to development to increase the effectiveness of their operations in a truly developmental way to support them to be tangible and apply them in the context of other areas.
