The primary objectives include: (1) analyzing the factors influencing participation in motorsport tourism activities, (2) examining the appropriate activity models for motorsport tourism, and (3) developing strategies to promote motorsport tourism.

The research employs a mixed-methods approach, divided into three phases: (1) analyzing factors influencing participation by collecting data from a sample group of 400 respondents and performing statistical analysis, (2) identifying suitable activity models through in-depth interviews with 16 stakeholders, and (3) formulating strategies using SWOT Analysis and the TOWS Matrix. The research findings indicate that factors influencing participation in activities include both positive aspects, such as event organization, promotional channels, and safety standards, as well as negative factors, including expenses and prior participation experience. Furthermore, suitable event formats should be diverse, receive support from the public and private sectors as well as the community, and incorporate stringent safety measures. The research also formulated five strategies: 1) Infrastructure development, 2) Branding and marketing, 3) Public and private sector support, 4) Community activity promotion, and 5) International cooperation development.

Dirakrit Greut, Nawin Promjaisa, Vikrom Boonnun, Gomin Wang-on Copyright (c) 2025 Social Sciences and Modern Integrated Sciences https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://so09.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JSMIS/article/view/5996 Sun, 30 Nov 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Factors Affecting the Participation of Elderly Individuals in the Management of Elderly Schools in Ban Krang Subdistrict, Mueang Phitsanulok District, Phitsanulok Province https://so09.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JSMIS/article/view/5986
This research article aims to examine three key aspects: (1) the level of participation of older adults in the management of senior citizen schools, (2) the factors influencing such participation, and (3) the challenges, obstacles, and recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness of their participation. This study employs a quantitative research methodology, collecting data from 140 senior citizens who are members of a senior citizen school in Ban Krang Subdistrict, Mueang Phitsanulok District, Phitsanulok Province. Data were gathered through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, including percentages, means, and standard deviations.

The findings reveal that: (1) the overall level of participation among older adults in the management of senior citizen schools is high, reflecting their awareness and enthusiasm for engaging in social activities; (2) key factors influencing their participation include support from family, the community, and relevant organizations, which play a crucial role in fostering engagement; and (3) the primary obstacle hindering participation is difficulty in using modern technology, which affects access to information and involvement in online activities. Based on these findings, a key recommendation is to develop support mechanisms that enable older adults to effectively access and utilize technology. Additionally, fostering collaboration among senior citizen schools, communities, and government agencies is essential to promoting sustainable participation.
Sudarad Khunto, Tanastha Rojanatrakul, Chot Bodeerat Copyright (c) 2025 Social Sciences and Modern Integrated Sciences https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://so09.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JSMIS/article/view/5986 Sun, 30 Nov 2025 00:00:00 +0700 The Preparation for an Aging Society among People in Nonglum Subdistrict, Vajirabarami District, Phichit Province https://so09.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JSMIS/article/view/5939
This research article aims to study: 1) the preparedness of the population for entering an aging society, 2) the level of awareness regarding elderly welfare rights, 3) the comparison of factors influencing preparedness for entering an aging society based on personal characteristics, and 4) the strategies for preparing the population in Nonglum Subdistrict, Wachirabarami District, Phichit Province, for entering an aging society. A mixed-methods approach combining both quantitative and qualitative research was employed. The quantitative component used a questionnaire to collect data from 282 community committee members, analyzed using descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, along with inferential statistics. The qualitative component involved in-depth interviews with 15 key informants, with data analyzed using descriptive content analysis.

The findings revealed that the overall level of drug prevention and resolution operations by the community committees was high, particularly in the areas of monitoring and evaluation. Moreover, there was a statistically significant and strong positive correlation between the Four Iddhipāda principles and the community committees’ operations (r = 0.85, p < 0.01), indicating that adherence to Buddhist principles can serve as a powerful mechanism for effective social action. In terms of practical application, the study found that community committees effectively utilized the principles of chanda (desire to do good), viriya (effort), citta (attention), and vimaṃsā (investigation) to foster motivation, strengthen morale, promote collaboration, and engage in systematic planning for sustainable drug problem resolution. These results highlight the role of Buddhist teachings in enhancing community resilience and provide a practical framework for grassroots social development in Thai society.
Ratchaphon Champakaew, Suraphon Promgun, Sutipong Sawatta Copyright (c) 2025 Social Sciences and Modern Integrated Sciences https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://so09.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JSMIS/article/view/6042 Sun, 30 Nov 2025 00:00:00 +0700 The Causal Influence of Government, Private Sector, and Civil Society Collaboration on the Effectiveness of Disaster Management in Response to the COVID-19 Outbreak in Pa Sang District, Lamphun Province https://so09.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JSMIS/article/view/6208
This research article aims to (1) examine the factors influencing disaster management in response to the COVID-19 outbreak in Pa Sang District, Lamphun Province, and (2) analyze the causal influence of collaboration among the public sector, private sector, and civil society on the effectiveness of disaster management within this context. A quantitative research methodology was employed. The sample consisted of 186 participants, including government officials, local leaders, village health volunteers (VHVs), and local residents. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis.

The findings revealed that overall collaboration factors were rated at the highest level, particularly in compliance with public health measures, which received the highest mean score ( =4.54, S.D.=0.436), followed by communication, campaigns and public relations, and community capacity—indicating strong engagement from all sectors in addressing the crisis. Moreover, the results from multiple regression analysis showed that independent variables could explain 75% of the variance in disaster management effectiveness (R²=0.75, p < 0.05). Statistically significant positive predictors included the strictness of village health volunteers (β=0.65), village heads/subdistrict chiefs (β=0.64), communication and public relations efforts (β=0.35), and government support (β=0.29). Although collaboration from the private sector did not reach statistical significance (β=0.15, p=0.06), it still played a meaningful role in the overall outcome. Interestingly, the strictness of public health officers showed a negative effect on management effectiveness (β=-0.37), possibly reflecting systemic limitations or unintended consequences of overly stringent measures. These findings underscore the importance of fostering proactive collaboration through community-based mechanisms, strong local leadership, and effective communication strategies. The study recommends a critical review and adjustment of the roles of public health authorities to enhance flexibility, build trust, and improve disaster management outcomes in times of crisis.
Pudisakorn Moonpa, Suriyajaras Techatunminasakul Copyright (c) 2025 Social Sciences and Modern Integrated Sciences https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://so09.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JSMIS/article/view/6208 Sun, 30 Nov 2025 00:00:00 +0700 The Management Strategy for the Nong Luang Natural Reservoir, Chiang Rai Province https://so09.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JSMIS/article/view/6210
The objectives of this research article were (1) to analyze the current management conditions of the Nong Luang natural reservoir in Chiang Rai Province, and (2) to formulate a strategic development plan for the management of the Nong Luang natural reservoir.
